it’s a combination of the fact that I actually like the game a lot, and the fact that Overwatch has a much larger, much more vocal fanbase
Overwatch vs. Battleborn is a fake contest because Overwatch won before that contest even began. Blizzard is a much larger studio than Gearbox, with a much larger built-in fanbase and Overwatch had a much more comprehensive marketing campaign
I don’t think Battleborn is a perfect game, and it has a ton wrong with it, but I hate seeing something that i love being ripped on by tons of people day in and day out.
Overwatch is going to blow Battleborn out of the water no matter what, so there is no reason for Overwatch fans to be so vicious about Battleborn’s faults. Overwatch is so universally praised and loved without any acknowledgment of its own faults, even the ones that is has in common with Battleborn, that I get frustrated, especially in the face of the fact that none of Battleborn’s good qualities are ever acknowledged
Battleborn started this fight already knocked out, and Overwatch has been beating it while its down
I don’t want Battleborn to win, I just want Overwatch to leave it alone
